Message from CEO

I once dropped at a small station named Neanderthal on my way of the business trip in Germany. At the quarry in that place, the first fossil of Neanderthal was found. It’s the place in the mountains apart from any human dwellings, and with some small green fields and streams. I could imagine Neanderthal living there. A lot of pollen were found in the burial place of Neanderthal. According to the book I read in the past, it means that they have warm mind and offered flowers to the dead. Unfortunately, that theory is denied now. Even so, I would like to imagine they have warm mind and pick up flowers in the green field. Also, I wish we modern humans are like that. 

Chemio was launched for giving solutions to the problems in the fields of energy, ecology, food, water and healthcare. The water sterilization polymer for cut flowers was derived from those activities and released in 2025. It keeps the vase water clean without renewal only by putting it in. It also contributes to a longer life of the flowers. It can be used for long time repeatedly without care.

Flowers might not be suitable for the purpose of Chemio, because they are not indispensable for life, unlike energy and food. However, I was fascinated by the beauty of flowers, living things, the luminosity of the things basically composed of water, and the fragrance that cannot be created artificially. When I think about the strangeness of variety of flowers, shape, colors and fragrance, they take me to the wonder of this world. When I “listen” to them, they let me know many things silently. I found that it is also important to make people enjoy flowers without much care.       

Life is not always happy. However, at least there are some beautiful things in this world. It’s enough reason for living. Among countless worlds in the universe, we happen to be born in this world where these houses stand, these cars run and these flowers bloom. Since we are at it, let’s enjoy this world. 

Chemio have been making business mainly in the contract research about batteries, carbon-neutral technologies and medical equipment. Going forward, we will promote the business of the water sterilization polymer for cut flowers as well.
